What you'll do
The Consumer Data Science team develops complex, business-critical data science products. These leverage our customer, product, digital, and viewing data to ensure customers receive the right product at the optimal price and time. Our solutions encompass various areas including customer price elasticity, credit risk assessment, upsell and churn predictions, call forecasting, and other vital business functions. As part of our team, you will:
Develop data science products built on our rich data assets including customer service interactions, viewing behaviour on multiple platforms (linear, on demand, streaming etc), online engagement with Sky digital (apps, website), service quality and performance information and customer metrics
Deliver robust, well-written code
Engage with our Machine Learning and Data Engineers to build and deploy compliant, efficient and scalable data science models
Leading projects with 1-2 team members, task managing and delegating appropriately
Engage with key stakeholders (Commercial, Finance, Trading, Servicing, Customer Experience & Digital) to understand key business objectives and translate these into data science & analytical projects
Be a great teammate and mentor junior and graduate team members to further develop their technical skills
Keep up to date with innovations in data science, as well as new frameworks, continuously innovate and drive new ideas
What you'll bring
Proven experience in at least two advanced analytical areas including, but not limited to Predictive Modelling, Optimisation, Unsupervised Learning and NLP in a commercial setting
Experience building and deploying data science solution at large scale (preferably B2C) cloud environment (we use GCP VertexAI in the team)
Very good Python programming skills and experience with Machine Learning libraries such as scikit-learn, XGBoost, Keras, Tensorflow etc
Familiarity with ETL concepts and ability to write scalable SQL code (familiarity with BigQuery and working with nested data a plus)
Present your results in a clear and concise way to both technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to quickly understand a business objective, problem solving to deliver a data science solution delivering commercial value
Bonus points if you have experience working with LLMs, graph analytics (Neo4J preferred) or Causality

Our Osterley Campus is a 10-minute walk from Syon Lane train station. Or you can hop on one of our free shuttle buses that run to and from Osterley, Gunnersbury, Ealing Broadway and South Ealing tube stations. There are also plenty of bike shelters and showers.
